Since joining Ascensos in 2022 as a Team Manager, Heeton has quickly risen to Senior Team Leader, leading a team of 50+ customer service agents at our site in Cape Town. With nine years of leadership experience, his focus on performance optimisation and mentoring team managers has led to outstanding results, including high handling efficiency and low absenteeism.
Promoted in March 2024, Heeton's dedication earned him a finalist spot for the 2024 CAPEBPO Awards in the 'Top Team Leader' category—for the second year in a row. Heeton says "A successful leader inspires growth, aligns team vision, and turns challenges into opportunities."
Brogan’s Ascensos journey began in 2017 as one of the first Advisors on the Isle of Wight. His career took off quickly, with promotions to Team Captain and Team Manager in just two years. Brogan has managed customer experiences across diverse campaigns, including the UK’s largest video games retailer and Aldi.
His leadership and versatility earned him recognition, including a silver win at the UK National Contact Centre Awards. Today, Brogan leads the Wickes campaign, bringing his expertise to their multichannel, kitchen, and bathroom teams. His advice to others: “Always be available to help the wider team with anything you can.”
Sharlotte’s journey at Ascensos Trinidad began in June 2023 as a Customer Service Advisor, and her dedication led to a promotion to Subject Matter Expert (SME) Trainer for our SharkNinja campaign by February 2024. Passionate about training, Sharlotte adapts her approach to support new employees at different learning speeds.
She emphasizes brand alignment, ensuring agents understand the values and mission of the brands they represent. “I’ve had the privilege of working with talented individuals who turn obstacles into opportunities. Ascensos provides ample opportunities for growth, and I’m excited to continue my journey here,” Sharlotte says.
Abigail’s journey at Ascensos Trinidad began as a Customer Service Advisor, where she consistently exceeded quality and performance targets, earning awards like ‘Customer Excellence' and 'Quality Star’ at our monthly Allstar recognition awards. Despite initial challenges with Average Handle Time (AHT), she improved with the support of her team.
After five months, Abigail successfully transitioned into the role of Operational Support Analyst, where she now supports internal teams with the same passion she brought to customer service. “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken,” she says, reflecting her positive approach to learning and growth at Ascensos.
Siobhan’s Ascensos journey began in 2017 as our receptionist in Motherwell, where her warm welcomes set the tone for each day. Her exceptional organisational skills and natural people-focused approach quickly led to a promotion to Facilities Assistant. Just two years later, she was promoted again to UK Facilities Manager.
Siobhan was instrumental in our UK Facilities Team winning 'Support Team of the Year' in 2019. Her positivity and dedication ensure our facilities run smoothly, making Ascensos a welcoming and efficient place to work for everyone. Siobhan’s advice: “Joining Ascensos as their Receptionist back in 2017 has led to my current role as Head of Facilities – I love organising people and events, and it was noticed!”
Starting in Ascensos Trinidad as a Customer Service Advisor in December 2023, Micah had no idea his dream role in IT was just around the corner. With no prior customer service experience, he quickly adapted and excelled. When an IT Support Analyst position opened, Micah seized the opportunity, persistently following up until he landed the role after an interview with our CTO David Gilfillan.
“It was surreal to achieve this position here, especially after enjoying my time as an advisor,” he says. Now thriving in the IT department, Micah credits the supportive team for helping him grow in this exciting new chapter.
Nikki joined Ascensos UK in 2022, bringing over 15 years of HR experience and a passion for employee wellbeing. From the start, she embraced opportunities to make a difference, creating initiatives like the "Pause to Talk" group, offering a safe space for colleagues to discuss menopause.
Nikki also developed the company’s first Menopause Policy, ensuring employees feel supported at every stage of their careers. “It’s important that we create an environment where everyone feels heard and supported,” Nikki says. Her dedication to fostering a culture of openness and inclusivity has had a lasting, positive impact on Ascensos.
Shenell joined Ascensos Trinidad in September 2023 as a Customer Service Advisor and quickly set her sights on growth within the company. After embracing new opportunities and overcoming challenges, she was promoted to a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Trainer in February 2024.
“At times when I felt demotivated, our amazing management team were always there to give me the encouragement and support I needed to keep moving forward,” she says. Shenell enjoys being part of a diverse and dynamic team, participating in events like Pyjama Day and the Ascensos A-lympics, and looks forward to continued growth with Ascensos.
Jihaan’s career at Ascensos began with a strong foundation of self-development and opportunity. Joining as an advisor at our Cape Town operation, she quickly seized the chance to participate in programs like the Colleague Relations Forum and Train the Trainer, which propelled her to a Resource Planner role in just seven months.
Today, Jihaan supports multiple campaigns, optimizing workflows to ensure advisors are efficient and well-supported. Her drive for continuous improvement was recently recognized when she won the Calabrio Contact Centre Spotlight: Unsung Hero Award, a testament to her dedication to both her colleagues and the success of the business. Jihaan’s gratitude is clear: “This is my way of saying ‘Thank You’ to Ascensos for being the best place to start my career.”
Tequanna joined Ascensos Trinidad in September 2023 as a Customer Service Agent on the SharkNinja campaign. Reflecting on her experience, she says, "My journey has been amazing, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to do what I love."
Tequanna values the support and care from the management team and has grown in her role, moving from calls to support and now assisting through emails. "I know I have a bright future ahead with Ascensos, and I’m excited about the opportunities for personal growth," she adds.
Nicola joined Ascensos in 2021 as an Advisor and was quickly promoted into an Operational Management role within weeks. As one of the first 'Local' colleagues in Stranraer, Nicola splits her time between working from home and supporting new trainees at the local Training Hub.
Her background in sales has honed her excellent people skills, allowing her to thrive in the busy contact centre environment. Now a Team Manager on our DFS campaign, Nicola embraces Ascensos’ supportive culture. "Don't limit yourself! The world is your oyster here," she says, reflecting her belief in the company’s growth opportunities.
Latifah joined Ascensos Trinidad in January 2024 as a Customer Service Advisor, impressed by the company’s vision and work culture during her interview. Eager to be part of the 90% in-house promotions during the expansion, she accepted an entry-level position and was promoted to Team Manager just a month later.
With three years of experience in leadership and support roles, Latifah embraced new challenges, including developing her data skills. "I was always terrified of data, but with the training provided at Ascensos, I not only learned to use it but understand it." Now in an administrative role, Latifah applies her auditing skills to improve performance. "Ascensos has provided me with the tools to grow, both professionally and personally," she says.
Ioana joined Ascensos in 2019 as a Brand Ambassador at our Bucharest site, quickly making her mark as the first point of contact between our client and management. With her passion for accuracy, she transitioned into Quality Assurance within 1.5 years, and in 2022, her team won ‘Best Partnership’ at the European Customer Service Awards.
Now leading a global team of Quality Managers, Ioana continues to set the benchmark for excellence. She encourages others to pursue a career in Quality, emphasizing that “excellence should be the benchmark.” Ioana’s journey highlights how Ascensos fosters talent and provides opportunities for growth at every level.
Abdol joined Ascensos in January 2022 as an Advisor, quickly rising to Team Leader by September. His leadership is guided by CEO John Devlin’s “reverse pyramid” philosophy, focusing on uplifting and supporting his team. Abdol’s dedication to personal growth and fostering others' success has already resulted in four team promotions.
Despite the challenges of Ascensos South Africa’s post-COVID launch, Abdol’s commitment and resilience have driven his team to excel. A finalist for the 2024 CAPEBPO Awards in the 'Top Team Leader' category, Abdol is excited for the future, stating, “This is only the beginning.”
Loredana’s journey at Ascensos began as a Customer Service Advisor, where she brought seven years of operational experience. With a degree in Foreign Languages and Human Resource Management, she naturally transitioned into evaluating language proficiency for multilingual job applicants.
Today, as an HR Specialist, Loredana is responsible for identifying the best talent to grow the team in Bucharest. "Working at Ascensos is like a second family," she says. "It’s a fantastic environment where you always feel welcomed and appreciated. I love my role, and I look forward to welcoming new colleagues to the team!"
Reinille joined Ascensos in September 2023 as a Team Manager and was promoted to Operations Manager in February 2024. With extensive experience in telecommunications, travel, tourism, and retail, Reinille brings a wealth of knowledge to his role.
He credits Ascensos’ people-first culture and the support he received for his rapid growth within the company. “Working at Ascensos has been an amazing journey, and now I provide the same guidance to my team that helped me succeed,” he says. Reinille is proud to be part of #theAteam and excited for the future.
Oana joined Ascensos Romania in 2019 as a Resource Planner and quickly rose through the ranks, becoming Operations Manager in 2020 and Senior Operations Manager by the end of 2021. She now oversees a team of 200+ multilingual agents across Romania and Turkey providing exceptional customer service in languages such as; Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German and Swedish.
Oana's leadership and organizational skills have been key to her team’s success. “At Ascensos, I’ve had the opportunity to grow, lead, and make a difference every day—something I’m incredibly proud of” she says.
Lluwellyn joined Ascensos Cape Town with 20 years of Learning and Development experience, but quickly found himself learning and growing even more within the company. Ascensos is the third contact centre of his career, and after 10 years of interviews and setbacks, his leadership was recognized in just 10 months, leading to his promotion to Training Manager.
Lluwellyn is committed to creating an environment where his team thrives. "Determination means nothing should deter our minds from reaching our destination," he says, reflecting the passion and dedication he brings to his role every day.
Daron joined Ascensos Trinidad in June 2023 as a Customer Service Advisor on the SharkNinja campaign, after spending seven years at his previous job. Stepping into a new company felt intimidating, but Ascensos’ warm and welcoming environment quickly reassured him that he had made the right choice.
By November, he was promoted to Real-Time Analyst, and in January 2024, he advanced to Team Manager. Daron is passionate about maintaining the caring culture he’s experienced: “We show care to everyone who enters the business, no matter their role. Our culture is built on community, mindfulness, and promoting wellness.”
