Trinidad also benefits from its proximity to LATAM for Spanish, and geographically, is located beneath the region’s hurricane belt, providing resilience and contingency to clients and customers.
Port of Spain is the capital city of Trinidad and Tobago, famous for its carnival. The country is one of the most prosperous in the Caribbean and boasts an education system that’s considered one of the most literate in the world, with free education available from pre-school to university.
Courtney joined Ascensos in June 2023 as a Customer Service Advisor, and from the very first day, she knew she had found something special. Recognizing the opportunities for growth and development, she quickly embraced her next challenge and transitioned into her current role within the Recruitment and Admin Support team.
Now, Courtney plays a key role in welcoming new talent to Ascensos, ensuring they feel supported from day one. “You’re not just joining a workplace – you’re becoming part of a family that’s here to help you succeed,” she says.
Her passion for people and community shines through as she helps others start their own journey at Ascensos.
Daron joined Ascensos Trinidad in June 2023 as a Customer Service Advisor on the SharkNinja campaign, after spending seven years at his previous job. Stepping into a new company felt intimidating, but Ascensos’ warm and welcoming environment quickly reassured him that he had made the right choice.
By November, he was promoted to Real-Time Analyst, and in January 2024, he advanced to Team Manager. Daron is passionate about maintaining the caring culture he’s experienced: “We show care to everyone who enters the business, no matter their role. Our culture is built on community, mindfulness, and promoting wellness.”
Abigail’s journey at Ascensos Trinidad began as a Customer Service Advisor, where she consistently exceeded quality and performance targets, earning awards like ‘Customer Excellence' and 'Quality Star’ at our monthly Allstar recognition awards. Despite initial challenges with Average Handle Time (AHT), she improved with the support of her team.
After five months, Abigail successfully transitioned into the role of Operational Support Analyst, where she now supports internal teams with the same passion she brought to customer service. “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken,” she says, reflecting her positive approach to learning and growth at Ascensos.
Sharlotte’s journey at Ascensos Trinidad began in June 2023 as a Customer Service Advisor, and her dedication led to a promotion to Subject Matter Expert (SME) Trainer for our SharkNinja campaign by February 2024. Passionate about training, Sharlotte adapts her approach to support new employees at different learning speeds.
She emphasizes brand alignment, ensuring agents understand the values and mission of the brands they represent. “I’ve had the privilege of working with talented individuals who turn obstacles into opportunities. Ascensos provides ample opportunities for growth, and I’m excited to continue my journey here,” Sharlotte says.
Tequanna joined Ascensos Trinidad in September 2023 as a Customer Service Agent on the SharkNinja campaign. Reflecting on her experience, she says, "My journey has been amazing, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to do what I love."
Tequanna values the support and care from the management team and has grown in her role, moving from calls to support and now assisting through emails. "I know I have a bright future ahead with Ascensos, and I’m excited about the opportunities for personal growth," she adds.
Pamela began her Ascensos journey in June 2023 as a Customer Service Advisor, where she thrived on delivering exceptional service to customers. Her dedication and passion for helping others quickly set her apart.
In March 2024, Pamela embraced a new challenge, stepping into the role of Admin Assistant - a completely different field for her. Despite having no prior experience, she took the leap and hasn’t looked back. “Taking that leap of faith has worked out for the best,” she says.
Now, she proudly supports HR, operations, and facilities, enjoying the connections she builds every day and the continuous growth Ascensos offers.
Nicholas began his journey with Ascensos Trinidad in January 2024 as a Customer Service Advisor. Just two months later, he was offered the opportunity to work on a special project for the SharkNinja campaign, managing call queue volumes across multiple sites. "I was excited to step outside of my usual role and explore something new," he says.
Through this experience, Nicholas developed valuable skills in data reporting and built strong relationships across teams. "My journey at Ascensos has been incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to continued growth and new challenges."
Shenell joined Ascensos Trinidad in September 2023 as a Customer Service Advisor and quickly set her sights on growth within the company. After embracing new opportunities and overcoming challenges, she was promoted to a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Trainer in February 2024.
“At times when I felt demotivated, our amazing management team were always there to give me the encouragement and support I needed to keep moving forward,” she says. Shenell enjoys being part of a diverse and dynamic team, participating in events like Pyjama Day and the Ascensos A-lympics, and looks forward to continued growth with Ascensos.
Rannelle joined Ascensos Trinidad in September 2023 as a Customer Service Advisor excited by the potential for growth. The camaraderie within her team helped her adapt to the new environment, and she was soon promoted to Team Manager. "I embraced every challenge, and it's truly rewarding to see my team grow," she says.
Rannelle appreciates the unwavering support from senior managers and enjoys being part of the recruitment process, watching new colleagues develop. "With Ascensos, there are so many opportunities and life skills to learn, from peers to customers - it's a great reflection of what being part of #theAteam is all about."
Starting in Ascensos Trinidad as a Customer Service Advisor in December 2023, Micah had no idea his dream role in IT was just around the corner. With no prior customer service experience, he quickly adapted and excelled. When an IT Support Analyst position opened, Micah seized the opportunity, persistently following up until he landed the role after an interview with our CTO David Gilfillan.
“It was surreal to achieve this position here, especially after enjoying my time as an advisor,” he says. Now thriving in the IT department, Micah credits the supportive team for helping him grow in this exciting new chapter.
