This week marked an incredible milestone for us at Ascensos – our second anniversary in partnership with River Island!
Over the past two years, we have come together to build something truly special, delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving innovation, and developing a partnership that sets a new standard for collaboration.
Reflecting on Our Success
In just 24 months, we’ve successfully handled 755,429 customer inquiries – an iconic number that highlights the scale and dedication of our team. To put it in perspective, that’s enough to fill Madison Square Garden 37 times over! Each one of those tickets represents a satisfied River Island customer, and it’s an achievement we’re immensely proud of.
Overcoming Challenges, Exceeding Expectations
River Island’s Head of Customer Service, Nick Spence-Thomas, reflected on the incredible collaboration between our teams:
"The challenge was tough – inheriting backlogs and learning how RI works at speed during peak seasons like Black Friday, Christmas, and sales periods. But not only did the Ascensos team rise to the challenge, they exceeded, overdelivered, and have done so every single day since. Working hand-in-hand with River Island, we have navigated changes, met operational targets, and been nominated for prestigious awards like the ECCCSA and People in Retail Award. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of every member of our team.

To mark the occasion, our team celebrated with a fun-filled onsite party, complete with games, balloons, pizza, a treat trolley, and slices of delicious birthday cake! The festive atmosphere reflected the strong bond we’ve built with River Island and the joy of our continued collaboration.
